Ever wondered what it would be like to rent 20 of the same car and and do a road rally? We thought that would be a blast so we rented 20 Chevy Impalas from the same company with months of planning in advance, and on the day of we had every Impala in the midwest spoken for. Unfortunately my the only premium sedan left when I picked mine up was a 2020 Volkswagen Passat which is far less car than the V6 Impala. We took it any way and did Express Rally Essential 8 and had an absolute blast. Momentum driving is always the best driving.

Same thing happened to us when we rented a GMC Acadia from Enterprise. The check oil light was on the minute we drove it off the lot so the rental agent told us to go to the local oil change place they use. Well! When they pulled the oil plug off there was not a single drop of oil! I’m surprised that engine was still running! I’m sure a few more days of driving like that and it would have seized up. This my friends is why you don’t buy a used rental vehicle. My parents made that mistake back in the 90’s and ended up having a blown head gasket after a year. You just don’t know what you are going to get.

That is weird. I rent from Avis all the time and they have only given me 4cyl Impalas. The Passats have been solid. Also all the Chevy's I have driven had terrible seats.

Most Toyota dealerships rent cars. Ours rents out the top of the line V-6 Camrys and 5.7L Tundras. Plus, most of the other models.

I’ve got a 2015 impala and would have loved to be there. Unfortunately family issues wouldn’t allow me to get away from home that long🙁 I’m a full time Mr Mom, and 24/7 caregiver for my parents. My Wife works and goes to school full time so things can get crazy lol. But once life settles down for me I plan to buy a large property with a large shop so a few of us youtubers that have never met can get together for a weekend to just hang out and have fun. Impala's are cheap and plentiful? They stopped building them after 2020 so sad because the general public doesn't buy them not having a clue what great cars they are. Are you kidding me? I love this idea! Beat the rentals. We just had a 2019 Toyota Camry and I drove it like I stole it. I wish we had this rally stuff around here! Its crazy that there are 2 types of people with rental cars the one type drive it like a old lady going to church and then the 2nd that drives them hard and I puts them away wet. I say we pay to rent it we beat it and have fun!

I have that same engine in my 2019 GLi and they eeeeat oil. VW says losing a quarter of a quart per 1,000 miles is normal and we're supposed to change the 0 weight oil every 10,000 miles 😂😂😂 I'm trading out of it soon.

i have a 2002 lexus with 335k miles that burns less oil than that, none of those vws will get over 100k on them. your typical Passat buyer isnt gonna pop the hood and top up the oil every 1k on something they just bought. motors will go dry left and right.
